“Growing in Christ, Striving for Excellence, Influencing the World”
Most of you will hopefully recognise that as our Vision statement. Our deepest desire is that we would help you as families produce children of faith who seek God and desire to impact the world around them. As a school, we are always trying to balance the need to have very good academic results and yet still provide a Christlike community.
I am writing to let you know of a couple of areas where our academic results are truly outstanding.
Students Educated at Christway College from Prep-Year 12
Each year we have a number of students graduate who have been with us for the whole of their schooling, that is from Prep all the way to Year 12. One measure of success for us would be to look at the VCE results of those students. I have analysed the results of those students from the last 10 years who have been educated only at Christway (Heatherton) College and I am pleased to let you know that the median Study Score for those students is 34. To give some context, if that group of students were a school they would be the top-scoring Christian school in Victoria and would compare favourably with the best elite, high-fee independent schools in the state. It is also worth noting that twice over the last few years the cohort of P-12 Christway College students have achieved a median Study Score of 36. That is a score that would equate to being in the top 10 of all schools in the state.
2024 Naplan State and National Comparison Data
This week we were given access to the Victorian and National data for Naplan, and I am pleased to let you know that in every year level tested and for every area of testing we are significantly above Victorian State and National averages.

Year 7
- Above State and National data in Reading, Writing, Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation and Numeracy

- The Year 9 results give us an average of 607.6 which compared to the 2023 state results will place us in the top 8% of the state
I would be happy to answer any questions or talk to you further about how we are ensuring that we achieve excellent academic results yet maintain a safe, gentle, Christlike environment.
God bless
