We're excited to share with you an important update regarding the management of leased student devices as part of our commitment to creating a positive and focused learning environment.

In our ongoing efforts to support student learning, we have implemented a limitation on games for student laptops. This positive change is designed to minimize distractions during explicit learning activities, providing students with a more focused and conducive atmosphere for academic success.

Aligned with our commitment to the responsible use of ICT devices, the St. Mary's College ICT Acceptable Use Agreement emphasises the importance of: Not bringing to school, viewing or downloading unauthorised programs, including games or gambling applications. This means that games, music, video and applications may not be accessed without express permission from your teacher. This agreement is in place to ensure the safe and responsible use of technology within our school community.

We kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to this policy, as it contributes to fostering a secure and focused learning environment. This measure will be in effect until the ownership of the laptop is transferred upon purchase.

Thank you for your understanding and collaboration as we work together to create a positive and safe learning space for all our students.
