The Morning Circle

If you're hearing language such as 'positive primer' or 'values and expectations' at the dinner table then most likely your child is talking about their classroom's Morning Circle.

Circle routines are classroom practises the support inclusion, student engagement, and create positive classroom communities. In addition to creating a sense of safety and belonging, a predictable classroom circle routine primes students for open, flexible and engaged thinking.

At Skye PS we start everyday with a Morning Circle. Ask your child to explain how to play one of the Positive Primers they have learned.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns about your child's emotional and/or social wellbeing, please reach out to either myself or Helen Meadows our Disability and Inclusion Coordinator.
