Banyule Youth Services would like to invite you to the first parent/carer session of the year, Building positive body image in young people.

 

Join Eat Love Live for a transformative session designed for parents of secondary students.  In an age where social media plays a pivotal role in shaping perceptions, this free session equips parents with essential tools to foster a positive body image in their children. From understanding the impact of social media to navigating peer pressures, this session empowers parents to communicate effectively, identify warning signs, and build a supportive community. Elevate your parenting journey by gaining insights into promoting mental wellbeing and resilience in your secondary student. Marina Payne an eating disorder dietitian will explore:

  • Risk factors, warning signs and the impact of social media.
  • Learn how to be a positive role model.
  • Learn practical support and where to access help.

Navigating the High School Journey

Year 7 Parent Transition Session, facilitated by Student Services.

Welcome, new parents of Eltham High School Year 7 students! We're excited to invite you to a special Transition Session aimed to support you in guiding your young people seamlessly into high school life.  

 

Join us for an informative session where you'll gain valuable insights into the social, and emotional aspects of this pivotal transition. Our experienced Student Services (Wellbeing) team will provide tips on creating a positive learning environment at home, fostering effective communication with teachers, and understanding the unique challenges your young person might encounter during their first year.
