We have finished our first term in the kitchen garden. 🪴

 

The students in Prep PO, 1/2 DI, PL/CR, PE, CO/CR and 3/4 ST, CH, ME, CA, LIM/KO and 5/6WE/HA enjoyed time growing, harvesting and cooking.

 

We made pumpkin soup on Harmony Day from the 28 pumpkins 🎃 we harvested. There was so much soup left over after we all tried it so we donated the left over soup to a soup kitchen to feed those in need. 

 

3/4ST also made rhubarb and lemon muffins 🧁 which were delicious. The students participated in many activities in the garden like raking, watering, weeding, seed harvesting, planting seeds, composting, collecting eggs and making sure the chickens, named Honey & Jam, had fresh water and food. We also talked about the seasons Summer ☀️ and Autumn. 🍂
