Student Wellbeing
Wow! Week 5 already. I am not sure where the days are going……..somewhat of a cliché’ but such a true statement. I hope everyone has been keeping cool.
Working with students in my role is a privilege and there are times where I see many smiles and other moments of big emotions.
Recently, I have been scrolling through ParentTV (now that the college has a subscription). You knew that didn’t you? Because I am sure everyone is taking advantage of the access SCC parents have :)
I read a wonderful topic on how we can validate and help our children cope with their big emotions to help them build resilience.
How to help children manage their big emotions
RAINBOWS
Another space your child may be able to share their emotions is through our Rainbows program.
Information regarding the next Rainbows program will be coming home to families and caregivers, Pre-Primary through to Year 7 in Week 6.
Please read the letter carefully and if you feel your child/ren’s participation in Rainbows could be beneficial, an Expression of Interest form will be attached for completion and to be returned to the college by 13th March, 2023.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to either call or email me at the college Monday - Thursday.
Have a wonderful couple of weeks and until we chat again, enjoy scrolling through ParentTV!
