Year 7 Camp at Alexandra Adventure Resort
Last week, the Year 7's set off for camp with Stella and Terra in Camp 1 and Ignis and Hydra in Camp 2.
From conquering the high ropes course and giant swing to building friendships, rafts and busting their moves on the dancefloor for disco night!
The students (and teachers) challenged one another to overcome fears, work as a team and look out for one another as they created these lasting memories. You can see by the smiles and camaraderie that everyone had a blast! Big thank you to Ms Pinney Brown for organising and to all of the teachers who gave up their time to attend and make it a fantastic experience.

2024 Year 7 Camp
The first camp of high school, excitement was in the air!
We hopped onto the bus, eager to try something new!
The 1-and-a-half-hour ride felt like forever. But the moment we stepped into the camp; I knew that this was going to be fun!
The campsite had a very nostalgic feel.
It was in a grassy, woodlands kind of area. Almost all the activities were outdoors, so it was a really nice change of pace from the indoor activities that this generation generally engages in.
I think one of the best parts was just getting to know people, because, you never know who your next ‘best friend’ can be.
The disco was for sure one of the best highlights of camp. Just seeing all the amazing costumes that people put together had me awestruck!
Like, these costumes were so creative I couldn’t believe my eyes!
If I could, I would relive this moment over and over again!
I really appreciate how much the teachers were contributing to make sure that this would be a fun experience!
Personally, I really enjoyed the canoeing. I have never done it before so just figuring my way around all the problems that it brought up was just really refreshing!
I think just trying new experiences is one of the best parts of camp, or even any activity.
All in all, camp is just an amazing experience; the people, the activities, just piece it all together! But, if there is one thing I would say they can improve on is the food. The only thing bad about the food was that they said everything was halal, but then proceeded to have ham/pork as an option for almost every meal!
But aside from that I really enjoyed camp and I hope that everyone that attended it did too!
