We are excited to announce that at the Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly Sports Star of the Year Awards, St Brigid’s College was again recognised for our participation and success in team and individual sporting achievements and was awarded 'Sports School of the Year' for 2023! We thank Brydie Hutchinson, our Sports Coordinator, and all who assisted with sporting events throughout 2023.

We are also extremely proud of staff member, Ashlee Grace, who was awarded 'Coach of the Year' for her coaching commitment to our St Brigid's netball teams and to the Horsham Saints Football Netball Club. Well done Ash!

Thank you to all our students, families, staff and community who have helped shape St Brigid’s College’s sports programs and events that we are very proud of. Bring on 2024!

Year 7 Launch Camp

The Year 7 cohort has had an awesome time away on camp in Robe. The Launch Camp is a great way to kickstart the year and for the students to get to know one another and some of their teachers.

It's great to see so many happy faces!

Opening Mass

Earlier this term we gathered as a whole school at Ss Michael and John's Catholic Church for the Opening School Mass, led by Fr Matt Restall. We then presented the Year 11 cohort with their senior badges, as well as the 2024 Student Leaders and Captains. Congratulations to Year 12 student, Sean McDonald, who received a study score above 40 in General Mathematics in 2023, placing him in the top 9% of the state. Sean was presented with a certificate.

We have had a great start to 2024 and look forward to an excellent year with our students, families, staff and community!

Well done Lily!

GIRLS IN TRADE |

On Tuesday, Year 9 student, Lily Popadynec, attended the Supporting and Linking Tradeswomen Day, held at Federation University. The workshop was a great opportunity for the students to hear more about a career in trades and learn some essential safety skills when working with power tools.

"It was pretty cool to attend and learn about trades and listen to women talk about their qualifications. It was helpful to think about what I would like to do in the future and cemented my thoughts about going into a trade. We built a wooden box, learnt how to use different saws, drills and cutting equipment. I would highly recommend this to other students, especially if they are looking at building." - Lily P
