Principal's Report

Term 2

It is hard to believe we are already nearing the end of another busy term. As always, I am incredibly grateful for the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our students, and the ongoing support of our families. Together, we have achieved a great deal this term and continued to create a positive, supportive and engaging learning environment for all students.

Thank you for the important role each of you play in making Concord School such a wonderful school community.

SSGs – Variation to School Day

On Wednesday the 24th of June, we will be running a ‘Variation to School Day’ for our SSG meetings running from 10am – 6pm.  This isn't a traditional day of schooling as students only attend for their individual SSG time, as scheduled by parents/carers. You can find more information in this newsletter and on Compass.

Last Day of Term

A reminder that Friday the 26th of June is the last day of Term 2. School will be finishing at 2:30pm. Please note that the busses will also be running to this earlier schedule.

As we commence Term 3, we have a whole school Curriculum Day on Monday the 13th of July. There is no school for students on this day. Term 3 will commence for all students on Tuesday the 14th of July.

Sharing Our Practice

This term, we have welcomed a number of visitors to Concord School, including local primary school Education Support teams from Glen Katherine PS and Meadowglen PS, Melbourne Polytechnic Education Support students, and the Principal and Teachers from Suneden Specialist School in South Australia.

These visits provided an opportunity for others to see firsthand the high-quality work taking place at Concord School and to learn about the strategies, programs and approaches we use to support our students. It is always rewarding to share our knowledge and experience with colleagues from other schools and education settings.

Thank you to our staff and students, who continue to showcase the positive, inclusive and supportive culture that makes Concord School such a special place to learn and work.

Principal’s Award- Zakir - Lower Primary

Gallery Image

Zakir is a happy and friendly student who contributes positively every day. He comes to school with a smile on his face and is always eager to greet staff in the morning.

Zakir consistently demonstrates our school expectations of being safe, being respectful, being responsible and being a learner. He listens well, follows instructions and classroom routines, and works hard in all learning activities.

Zakir should be proud of the positive attitude he brings to school every day. He is a wonderful role model for others and a valued member of our school community.

Well done, Zakir!
