Term 2 Week 9

This week has been a great example of how much learning can happen when students aren't in a classroom. There have been a number of days this week where we have had very few students on site because they have been off doing a range of great activities. Yesterday for example, our Year 9 students visited Wurun to listen to local writer and the author of the book they are studying, Tony Birch talk about his work, his life and the process of being a writer, our Year 7 students were out representing the school in the badminton and soccer teams, learning about community, commitment and communication and our Year 10 students were all out on their work experience placements learning what the world of work is like. All incredible experiences that go beyond the classroom walls and connect with the real world.

Next week is all about what has happened within those walls in the past 2 terms with our end of semester showcase. We are working hard to have every student presenting at least 1 piece of work from across the range of their studies and we are really looking forward to celebrating a great first half of the year with our community.
