Wellbeing & Engagement

Today is a great day to be you!

Term 3

Welcome to Term 3!

We are looking forward to another wonderful term of supporting the wellbeing of all our students.

Superhero Day

On the last day of term 2, we celebrated Superhero Day, with a focus on wellbeing. We commenced the day with an assembly with wonderful performances from our school choirs and rock bands, as well as our Kelly Sports performers. We had an opportunity to show off the outfits of our students and staff dressed as some of their heroes! The students participated in activities related to our school values and assisted in developing the new display in the office are. They also completed tasks on Cyber Safety and Respectful Relationships. Some classes had the Socceroos on and were cheering for them whist participating! It was a wonderful celebration for our last day of school.

Lunchtime Groups

Our popular lunchtime wellbeing groups will also continue, providing students with opportunities to connect, build friendships and develop social skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Chess club – Tuesdays B1

Lego club - Tuesdays B1

German club – Levels 4 - 6 Thursdays B1

Coding club - Thursdays B1

Boardgames group – Fridays in the library at B1, run by our social worker, Natalie.

Rangeview Wellbeing Dog

We are also pleased to share that Bingo, our Wellbeing Dog, has settled into school life beautifully and is already having a positive impact on our students. Bingo supports student wellbeing by helping to create calm, positive interactions and providing comfort to students who may benefit from additional emotional support.

School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS)

As part of our School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework, our focus this term will be on explicitly teaching and reinforcing our school expectations in key areas of the school. This includes continued teaching around expected behaviours in the toilets, on the school oval, during transitions between classes, and within the classroom. By explicitly teaching, modelling and positively reinforcing these expectations, we help create a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
