Upcoming SRC Events
The SRC team will be holding a cheeseburger fundraiser, this Friday (21st June) lunchtime. As a result, the canteen will not be open at lunchtime. All funds raised will go towards the The Push-Up Challenge.
The following Friday, the last day of Term 2, there will be a free sausage sizzle for all students at lunchtime. Drinks will still be available for purchase at the usual prices.
Cheeseburgers $3.50
Sauce, Mustard and Pickles Optional
Drinks $2.00
School Beanies For Sale
BSC beanies are currently available from the General Office at a cost of $21 each. These are an excellent way to keep warm on the colder days, while still wearing school uniform.
Thank You
We would like to thank the Pyrenees Shires Youth program for kindly donating the bus used to transport students to the Business Day Out, held in Ballarat on the 29th of May. This day was made possible through their kind donation.
Footy Tipping
After Round 13, Mr Severino still has a tight grasp on the lead in the BSC footy tipping competition, extending it out to four points between himself and the nearest tipster, Emilie Falzon. Meanwhile, Eric Wilkinson and Mr James have dropped out of the Top 12.
Non-Uniform Jackets, Coats and Hoodies
Now that the weather is beginning to cool, we ask that families and students make the necessary changes to uniforms to accommodate the change in climate. We have a variety of options available for purchase from Crockers Ballarat, to keep you warm on the colder days. Hooded jumpers and non-uniform coats, for example, Kathmandu Jackets, are not permitted to be worn and you will be asked to remove them, so please leave them at home. Loan uniform items may be issued in the event that you are asked to remove a non-uniform item.
BSC Push Up Challenge
Opportunities for Year 10 and 11 Students
Application forms are available at the General Office.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club runs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning, from 8:30am in the Student Centre. This is a joint initiative of the Victorian Government and Foodbank and provides students with a variety of free, nutritious breakfast options including toast, muesli, yoghurt, pancakes, toasted sandwiches and fruit. Students are most welcome to come and help themselves to whatever they feel like on the day.
Doctors In Schools
Our fortnightly Doctors in Schools Service (DISS) is a valuable resource that operates throughout the year. We are incredibly fortunate to have access to doctors onsite and it is important that we utilise it where possible. If any students would like to arrange an appointment, please see either Jackie or Mrs Newberry.
Canteen Menu
Please see our canteen menu on the next page. All orders must be submitted by recess as there will not be any extra food available for purchase at lunchtime.
2023 BSC School Magazine
We still have some copies of the 2023 School Magazine for any families who did not receive a copy at the end of the year. If you are interested, they are available for collection from the General Office.
