Music
Our band performed so well during our last school assembly! Our juniors did incredibly well and should be proud of their efforts. The whole band presented with pride and professionalism. We can’t wait to see where they head in the future.
All students left week ten lessons with holiday practise goals. All junior band students should return from the school holidays proficient in Donkey Round. They have all been exposed to Shoo Fly and should be making an attempt to practise as much of this piece as possible. In week two of term 3, all students will be moving on to the next piece, if they haven’t already, and we don’t want anyone left behind.
Senior students have been working on their solo pieces all semester. Anyone lacking in performance-ready confidence may like to put in some extra practice time during these school holidays to ensure they are prepared for upcoming performance opportunities.
Please check the band messenger group next week. A winter market is occuring in the main street on the Friday/Saturday of the last week of the holidays. We have been asked if students would like to busk at this event. Mrs Thomsen is co-ordinating this opportunity and will be taking expressions of interest as the school holidays progress.
