Principal's Report

Last Friday's 'dress-up as your favourite musician' celebration of World Music Day, saw our school filled with stars!  Along with the many eras of Taylor Swift, we also had several famous DJs and many others, including our very own Emily!

Congratulations to Harry, Mac and Ferdi on their participation and achievement at last Friday's regional x-country final in Benalla.  All boys performed really well and both Ferdi and Mac have qualified to compete at the state final in July. 

Yesterday, the 2024 lunchtime netball grand final was held between Blue and Black.  After two tough 8 minute halves, Black took out the premiership 9 goals to 3. Congratulations to all students for their positive sportsmanship and many thanks again to Kathryn for her time in running and umpiring the games.

As a follow-up to their in class learning, yesterday students in Years 3/4 and 4/5 also participated in some drama sessions with Claire from Drama Victoria.  The students all had a great time participating in the sessions and Claire spoke very highly of our students.

Today, we began the big move! Many thanks to our builder Pete and his team, for their assistance and working so hard to make this happen, and to all students and staff for their support and assistance in this process.  The moving process will continue tomorrow, with demolition of the OSHC/Art building and canteen, set for demolition in the 2nd week of the holidays.

Tomorrow is the last day of school and we are celebrating with a crazy hair and casual dress day!  Students are asked to bring a gold coin donation to help us raise funds to support child in need of wigs or other medical equipment.  

As the term draws to a close, I'd like to extend our thanks to our many volunteers, who have assisted with our programs and other activities, over the term.  Thanks also to everyone who has shown their support, by coming along to our assemblies, performances and other school events.  

A reminder that school will finish, tomorrow Friday 28th June, at the earlier time of 2.30pm. On behalf of us all, we wish you a very happy winter break and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Mount Beauty Secondary College Cross Ski Hire

Holiday ski hire: the ski room will be open on Friday 28th from 2.30-4.30 for XC ski hire. $50 per set for the whole holidays!

We will then be open every Friday during Term 3 from 3.30-4.30 for weekend ski hire ($33 per set).
