Book Week Celebration - Thursday 22nd August    "Reading is Magic"

We are excited to announce that this year’s Book Week will be held on August 22nd. The theme for 2024 is "Reading is Magic," celebrating the enchanting power of books and imagination.

To make this event even more magical, we invite all students to come dressed as a magical book character. This could be a wizard, a fairy, a mythical creature, or any character that sparks their imagination and brings the theme to life. Here are some ideas for magical characters from books:

Harry Potter from the "Harry Potter" series by J.K. Rowling

Hermione Granger from the "Harry Potter" series by J.K. Rowling

Gandalf from "The Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R. Tolkien

Aslan from "The Chronicles of Narnia" by C.S. Lewis

Matilda from "Matilda" by Roald Dahl

Alice from "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll

The White Witch from "The Chronicles of Narnia" by C.S. Lewis

Percy Jackson from the "Percy Jackson & the Olympians" series by Rick Riordan

Peter Pan from "Peter Pan" by J.M. Barrie

The Fairy Godmother from "Cinderella" by Charles Perrault

The BFG (Big Friendly Giant) from "The BFG" by Roald Dahl

We look forward to seeing all the creative costumes and sharing in the joy of reading with your children.
