Western Cross Country

Yesterday, eight of our students represented Bathurst at the Western Cross Country Carnival in a very cold, wet, and windy Orange. The weather was difficult for all runners, and they did an amazing job bravely running in tough conditions. Congratulations to Sophie, Lilly, Will, Jax, Cooper, Elena, Heidi, and Alexis, and thank you, Mrs Francis, for supporting them on the day.

Basketball

Last Friday, our basketball teams played their Round 1 match against Bathurst West.

The girl's team made quick points to start the game, which got us off to a great lead. We then had to work hard against a quick Bathurst West side to defend and rebound after many fast breaks. By the end of the game, all our non-basketball players, playing their first-ever game, looked like seasoned players. We had a great win, 43-24. Well done, girls!

Our boy's basketball team dug deep from the very beginning and delivered an incredible performance that was nothing short of professional NBA calibre. Facing Bathurst West Public, our team dominated with a final score of 60-18. Their determination, skill, and teamwork were on full display, captivating everyone in attendance. A huge congratulations to the teams and coaches, Mrs Francis, Mr Datt and Mr Hayes, for their stellar achievement.

Netball

Our netball team was defeated in Monday's third-round game against Raglan. However, as always, the team displayed excellent teamwork and encouragement on the day. A standout for their coach, Miss Reedy, has been the great sportsmanship they have shown in all of their games this year. Congratulations, team, and Miss Reedy. You have made us all very proud.
