Cranbourne Secondary College Visit - Grade 6

On the 20th of June, the grade 6 students went to Cranbourne Secondary College for a discovery day. It was a wonderful experience. We went to different classes and got to try new things. In music we were challenged to play the McDonald’s theme on a Ukulele. We learnt about a coloring skill called rendering and used it to colour in a flower drawing in Visual Arts. In Humanities, we became detectives by looking at different pictures of ancient Chinese artefacts, like a silk pillow that looked like a jewelry box. We did basketball drills for P.E. in this huge new gym and it had a ball machine that passed balls out and you had to try and get in the basketball hoop. Science was really interesting as the teacher showed us some cool things about electricity and how we can make lightning. We also got to hold Ninja, their pet bearded dragon. Before we left, some year 7 students performed a cultural dance which was really good.

Thank you Cranbourne Secondary College for having us. It was amazing!
