This term, students have been diving into Music Theory and Aural Skills. They’ve been working on basic music concepts and practising them through fun activities. Everyone has learned a lot and developed a deeper love for music!
Our students have completed their Computer Music Key Learning Tasks (KLTs) using Reaper. They explored cool ways to manipulate music elements in an Electronic Music style. Special shout-outs to Amna from 7B and Ariana from 7A for their awesome work!
In early June, we had a Peer Leadership Music Skills workshop. Students showed off their teaching skills, helping each other learn and improve. It was great to see everyone working together and sharing their knowledge.
Class 7F has been creating Virtual DJ setlists and are finishing up their recordings to share with the class. They’ve been using the breakout spaces in G-Block to bring their music ideas to life. Their hard work and creativity have been amazing!
Classes 7A, 7B, and 7C have been working hard on their Music Performance skills. As the semester ends, their class songs have really come together. It’s been fantastic to see everyone improve in coordination, teamwork, self-expression, and confidence.
A big thank you to Amanda Jurukovski, our Pre-service Student Teacher from Victoria University. She’s been with us for the past five weeks, and her hard work has been a huge help in the Music Department. We’ve loved having her with us!
We’re excited to see what next term brings. Thank you to all the students and staff for your hard work and dedication to music!
