Prep-2 Inquiry

Over Term 2, P-2 Inquiry students had a lot of fun!

Preps enjoyed learning how to make safe and healthy choices. Students dressed up as Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics and discussed new and interesting facts.

We discovered:

  • How to wash our hands to keep them clean.
  • How to brush our teeth to keep them healthy.
  • Healthy foods and sometimes foods.
  • Identify what is safe and unsafe around the school, home and playground.
  • How to cross the road safely at a school crossing.
  • How to wear a helmet and the right shoes for riding a bike or scooter safely.
  • How to relax our body and mind with deep breathing. (mindfulness)
  • How to describe different feelings.
  • The importance of exercise and how it helps us keep healthy.

Year 1/2 students enjoyed learning about "Australian Animals". We had fun dressing up as a Zookeepers to learn about different animal’s diet, habitats and their life cycles.

We discovered many interesting things about lots of animals including the platypus, emu, kangaroo, echidna, crocodile, bilby, wombat, possum, sea turtle and more!

Students enjoyed a visit from a special platypus puppet that told them interesting facts and stories. Each lesson students completed a craft to stick into their Inquiry book or bring home.
