End of Term – Semester One Reports

Teachers have been diligently assessing and preparing student progress reports. Tomorrow, Semester One reports will be live for parents to access on Compass. In these reports, parents will find:

General Reports

• A rating against selected descriptors from the ‘Personal and Social Capabilities’ and Specialist curriculum subjects.
• A rating of ‘Work Habits’ that includes general effort and classroom / yard behaviour.
• A brief personal comment about the student’s ‘Achievements’.
• A brief personal comment about the student’s ‘Future Learning Goals’.

English and Mathematics Reports

• An overview of the Victorian Curriculum areas that were covered this semester.
• Student achievement information represented on the continuum of learning according to Victorian Curriculum level (Progression Point). 
• Progress made since the last time these areas were reported on using an age-related expected scale.
• For P-4, a student rating against curriculum descriptor skills covered this semester.
• For 5-6, a combination of comments and ratings against curriculum descriptor skills identifying student achievements in each of the curriculum areas. 

Conferences will take place in Week 2 of next term. This will give parents and carers an opportunity to clarify any information in the written reports as well as a chance to celebrate the achievements of the students from this semester.
