"Curriculum should help children make deeper and fuller understanding of their own experience."

A Milestone Achieved: Congratulations, Year 12!

Congratulations Year 12 and a special acknowledgment to the proud parents and families!

After nearly 50 HSC subjects completed across more than 100 hours of exams, major works and performances, you have officially completed high school. Your hard work, dedication and resilience have brought you to this monumental moment. After 13 years of schooling, countless assignments, excursions and assemblies, now marks not just an end, but an exciting new beginning. We wish you all the best as you embark on the next chapter of your journey!

Achievement and Preparation for Our Younger Years

Congratulations to Years 7-10 who have recently been working diligently on their examinations. The effort you put into preparation and execution is a vital part of your learning journey.

  • Year 10 Minimum Standards: Our Year 10 students have also sat their minimum standards testing. For those who have not yet reached the required minimum standard, please be aware that you will resit these tests next year. Ensuring you meet these standards is crucial for receiving your HSC in the future.

Focused Forward: Planning for the Class of 2026

Our Year 12 cohort (Class of 2026) have already undertaken assessments for their first task in many subjects.

Remember: The upcoming holidays are a critical time to prepare for the challenges ahead. Use this time wisely to:

  • Collate your notes: Systematically organise all your class and assessment notes for easy review and study.
  • Master directive terms: Make sure you know the meanings of the directive terms (e.g., analyse, evaluate, compare) used in exam questions. Understanding these is the key to structuring high-level responses.

The Value of the Long View

As we look across all year groups, from Year 7 facing their first high school tasks to Year 12 completing their final HSC papers, it's essential to recognise that education is not a sprint, but a marathon of continuous growth. The true value of your efforts—in the classroom, in the exams and in your preparation—lies not just in the final grade, but in the character and discipline you build along the way. Embrace the lessons learned this term, rest well during the holidays and come back ready to tackle the next phase of your academic journey with renewed energy and purpose.
