Gifted Outreach Program

On Friday 24 and Monday 27 October, Nossal welcomed Grade 5 and 6 students from various primary schools to take part in a Humanities-based investigation program. The focus of the sessions was on exploring real-world issues such as youth crime, homelessness, and environmental awareness.

Working alongside the Year 10 mentors, the students conducted research into their chosen topic, developed practical solutions, and presented their findings through creative formats like videos, PowerPoint presentations, and detailed dioramas.

Throughout the two days, we had an amazing time collaborating with the students, guiding them through their projects, and watching their ideas come to life. It was inspiring to see their enthusiasm, creativity, and thoughtfulness when tackling such complex issues.

For us as mentors, the experience was not only fun but also a valuable opportunity to strengthen our own leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. Overall, the event was a huge success and a rewarding experience for everyone involved!
