Foundation have spent the first few weeks of term using a variety of techniques to create Mister Seahorse, based on the text by Eric Carle. In the first week we look at how tissue paper can be layered to create other colours on the seahorse template. In the second week we cut rocks and coral from collage paper and used oil pastels for a watery background. Last week we used drawing materials to pattern on top of the tissue paper segments, before cutting around Mister Seahorse and deciding the best composition. Here are some of the results:
