Grade 6 News

It’s been a busy and productive start to the term, and we’re now heading into an even busier few weeks ahead!
In Literacy, we are well into our class novel Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow. We are thoroughly enjoying the twists, turns, and imagination of this fantasy adventure. Students have been engaging in thoughtful discussions about the characters and themes while continuing to develop their comprehension and writing skills.
In Mathematics, we are wrapping up our work on data collection and interpretation before moving into our next focus on fractions, decimals, and percentages. This unit will build on students’ existing knowledge and challenge them to apply their understanding to real-world contexts.
We continue to encourage all students to maintain regular home reading habits — a little bit each night makes a big difference!
A reminder from Galen for the St. Bernard’s Transition day on Thursday 6th November. Arrival and Departure: Please ensure your child arrives at the Phillipson St entrance by 8:40 AM. The school day will conclude at 3:15 PM.
