Grade 1 News

It’s been a busy and exciting time in Grade 1!  

Firstly, a big well done to all our students for their wonderful effort during swimming week! It’s a big week for everyone, and we are so proud of how well each child participated. 

A heartfelt thank you to our parent helpers for your time and support. We truly appreciate your assistance in making the program such a success.

In Maths, students are learning all about Time, exploring how to read clocks and talk about daily routines. 

In Writing, we are focusing on Narratives, creating imaginative stories with interesting characters and settings. It has been a pleasure reading some of the wonderful stories students have written. Our focus text ‘Captain Jack and the Pirates’ has been a wonderful way to explore how we can be more imaginative in our story writing.  

In Religion, students have begun making their own Rosary Beads as we learn about the Month of the Rosary - a beautiful way to reflect and pray together.

A reminder that in week 6 on Wednesday 12th, Grade 1 students will be attending the Galen Production ‘The Wizard of Oz’. Please look for permission notes and information closer to this date or email the office with permission if PAM is still not working
