Arlo Shawcross (Year 8) has earned a wildcard entry into the 2026 Australian Open following his impressive performance at the Australian National Wheelchair Championships last weekend. The 14-year-old dominated the tournament, dropping only four games across all his matches to secure a spot in the boys’ wheelchair singles draw, where he will make his Grand Slam debut. This achievement follows his earlier appearance at the ITF World Wheelchair Tennis Tour Junior Championships in Turkey earlier this year.
We are incredibly proud of Arlo’s outstanding achievements and the dedication he continues to show to his sport. Our school community will be following his journey closely and wishes him every success as he prepares for his Australian Open debut.

Applications close Friday 21 November. https://www.aubotacademy.com/ncsw

This month our display in the library is highlighting our horror, crime and mystery/suspense genres to get readers into the Spooktober mood. All books on the display can be borrowed!
