Principal's Message

Assalaamu Alaykum WRWB,

As we draw closer to the end of another fruitful year at Malek Fahd Islamic School, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our staff, students, and families for their unwavering dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to ihsan (excellence).

This year has been filled with remarkable achievements and memorable milestones that continue to reflect our shared mission — nurturing minds, hearts and souls guided by the values of Islam.

Celebrating Our HSC Graduates

On Wednesday, 24 September, we celebrated our Year 12 Graduation Dinner, a truly special evening that honoured our graduates’ hard work, resilience, and accomplishments. This was the school's our largest cohort of 222 students. It was a time to reflect on their journey at Malek Fahd Islamic School and to celebrate the friendships and memories they have made along the way.

Our HSC students have since completed their final exams on Friday, 7 November, marking the culmination of many years of dedication and perseverance. On behalf of the entire school community, we extend our heartfelt duʿā and best wishes to all our Year 12 graduates. May Allah (SWT) bless you with success, wisdom, and guidance as you embark on the next chapter of your lives.

World Arabic Awareness Week – Fundraising for Families in Sudan

As part of our World Arabic Awareness Week in Week 8, 1 to 5 December 2025, Malek Fahd Islamic School is honoured to partner with Human Appeal Australia in a special fundraising initiative to support families affected by the ongoing crisis in Sudan.

Since 2023, Sudan has endured severe hardship, with millions displaced and in urgent need of food, clean water, shelter, and medical care. Many families — particularly women and children — remain vulnerable and are relying on the generosity of the global community.

Through this campaign, our learners and staff will unite in the spirit of empathy, compassion, and service, raising both awareness and much-needed funds for those experiencing immense difficulty.

We warmly invite our school community to participate and contribute to this meaningful cause. Your support will make a real difference in the lives of those most in need.

Professional Development

Ms. Tulin Bragg (Deputy Principal, Teaching & Learning), Ms. Amira Kirsten (Head of Campus, Hoxton Park), and Dr. Ozan Angin (Wellbeing Coordinator, Greenacre Secondary) proudly represented Malek Fahd Islamic School at the 4th Annual Global Association of Islamic Schools (GAIS) Conference, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from Sunday 5 to Wednesday 8 October.

The conference brought together over 350 delegates from 27 countries, united under the theme Tajdīd: Inspiration to Impact. Keynote speakers Professor Mohamad Abdalla AM (University of South Australia) and Professor Abdullah Sahin (University of Warwick) shared powerful insights into transformative education through the paradigm of Tawhid.

This experience reaffirms our school’s commitment to advance our own journey of Tajdīd — to move beyond foundations and continue shaping a holistic, purpose-driven education that nurtures the mind, heart, and spirit of every learner.

We were delighted to recently welcome Principal Mr Fazeel Arain and Mrs Rahat Arain, Deputy Principal – Learning & Innovation from Al Siraat College, Epping (Victoria), to our Greenacre Campus.

Their visit focused on observing teaching and learning across both Primary and Secondary classrooms, with particular interest in how Islamic pedagogy drives classroom practice. The visit also provided an opportunity to exchange insights on effective teaching strategies and learner-centred approaches.

Mr and Mrs Arain met with our Heads of School and Executive Team to discuss educational leadership, curriculum design, and strategies that promote excellence and holistic development across all stages of learning.

It was a pleasure to host our guests from Melbourne and to share the innovative teaching approaches and collaborative culture that continue to define Malek Fahd Islamic School.

Closing Message

As Term 4 progresses and we prepare to conclude the 2025 school year, I encourage all students to remain focused and finish strong with the same enthusiasm and dedication that has marked your journey so far. Place your trust in Allah (SWT), strive with sincerity, and remember that success ultimately comes from Him.
