Nigel's Natter

Hi All, 

Here at school we are busy ensuring the end of 2025 is productive and smooth, while having one foot in 2026 - planning and preparing. Term 1 excursions are booked, curriculum day planning is well underway - and we are heading into our 4 yearly School Review - so preparations for that have commenced.  

2026 Curriculum Programs are being polished, staff are reflecting on the learning growth of their students and working out what we can do to improve again next year. New materials are being prepared to introduce our new school values and habits to students, Student Snapshots are being updated and we're working on an updated Behaviour Matrix that aligns with our new vision. 

Staff are maintaining routines, ensuring learning programs remain tight and supporting students as the 'end of year' jiggles kick in. 

BUSY is an understatement.

Across the board, our school data sets indicate that we've had a brilliant year. Learning data continues to improve, staff opinion survey is stronger than it's ever been, parent opinion data indicates a very high level of satisfaction in our community. Our attendance data has improved, behaviour data indicates less incidents than in previous years and the list goes on. 

ART SHOW

I hope you all managed to get along and check out the art show tonight. It was a delight and, honestly, the talent of our kids! Stunning. I snagged a few art works that will be on the office wall shortly.  

PARENT OPINION SURVEY - RESULTS  

Thank you to the 99 families that completed the survey. This is the strongest response we've ever had (and has given me some bragging rights with local prins!)

In 17 out of 19 survey areas, we performed better than similar schools. This is a brilliant outcome.

It's also fab to see that overall General School Satisfaction has continued to climb - with 90% of families responding positively. 

SCHOOL WIDE POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT 

This year we have continued to refine the way we support positive behaviour at school. I'm so proud of the way, as a community, we wrap around those students and families that require extra support. I'm also very proud of how we teach and reinforce expected behaviours. 

Year on year we have seen improvement across the domains that we measure. 

A few data highlights are: 

• Respect for diversity 68% to 88% 
• Sense of Inclusion 86% to 93% 
• Collective Efficacy 67% to 97%
