Specialists - MDD

Preparations are in full swing as students prepare for our much-anticipated Christmas Concert on Thursday, 11th December! The concert will showcase the wonderful learning that has taken place this term, with each year level performing festive songs and movement pieces that capture the joy and spirit of the season. Families are invited to join us in celebrating our students’ creativity, teamwork and growing confidence on stage. More details about the concert will be available soon.
In addition to our concert preparations, selected students have been exploring African drumming, learning traditional rhythms and experiencing the energy and community spirit that drumming brings. This hands-on learning has helped students develop their listening skills, coordination and sense of pulse — whilst also giving them a deeper appreciation for music from different cultures.
Our MDD sessions have also recently included a variety of drama activities designed to build confidence, encourage imagination and strengthen collaboration. These activities have helped students develop expressive skills, focus and empathy — all essential elements of performance and storytelling. We can’t wait to share all the fun and learning with you at the Christmas Concert. It’s sure to be a joyful celebration of our students’ talents and efforts across Music, Dance and Drama!
