Year 4/5

This week, we were fortunate to have Ann and Margot from the Australian Red Cross visit our school to run their Pillowcase Workshop. The students learned how to prepare for, cope with, and respond to emergencies in a fun and interactive way. Through engaging discussions and hands-on activities, students discovered practical strategies to help them feel more confident and ready in the event of an emergency. A big thank you to Ann and Margot for sharing their knowledge and helping our students build important life skills!
Last week, our talented Year 4/5 students wowed their peers with their Natural Disasters speeches! After weeks of research, planning, and practice, each student presented an informative and engaging talk about a chosen natural disaster — from erupting volcanoes to powerful earthquakes and devastating floods. The students spoke confidently, shared fascinating facts, and used visuals to help explain the causes and impacts of these incredible natural events. Their hard work and enthusiasm really shone through, and we are so proud of the effort and teamwork they displayed.
Well done, 4/5s!!
