English
We are learning to:
- read and spell words containing 4 sounds
- understand that prepositions are words that position people or things in space
- identify a preposition in a sentence
- choose a preposition to describe the actions of a character
- use prepositions in our writing.
Mathematics
We are learning to:
- identify how many groups, how many in each group and how to count to find the total
- order 3 or more familiar activities
- read hour time on a digital and analog clock
- describe and compare volumes.
Science and Technology
We are learning to:
- identify the basic needs of living things
- identify different ways that animals and plants obtain water
- respond to and pose questions about weather in the local environment
- explore different kinds of weather.
Geography
We are learning to:
- find different places on a map or image and describe where they are located
- construct a simple map to represent a place and spaces within it
- understand the language of a compass.
Personal Development and Health (PDH)
We are learning to:
- identify the safe administration and storage of medicines.
Visual Arts
We are learning to/about:
- use the dot painting technique to create an artwork
- follow a set of instructions to create an artwork based on a shared text.
