From the Principal's Desk...

Dear Parents and Caregivers
One of the best things about Term Four is the feeling of celebration that is in the air as students and staff reflect on their learning over the year. It is always so great to see the progress our students have made. Teachers are currently busy writing end of year reports which is a great opportunity to capture all of the learning that has occurred this year.
Class of 2033!
Last night we welcomed the parents/caregivers of our 2026 Kindy cohort. It is hard to believe that these children will be in Year 6 at St Helena's in 2033! During the parent/caregiver information session, as well as explaining how Kindergarten works, we shared the special things that make St Helena's such a special place to be, and encouraged parents/caregivers to really become a part of the school community, including joining the P&F, attending school events and getting to know other parents.
2026 Student Leaders Speeches
Our Year 5 students have been working hard on their student leadership speeches this term, and last Wednesday some students presented their Head Boy/Girl speeches to the Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 students. Today, students in Year 5 presented their Faction Captain speeches to their faction. The students all spoke very well and really demonstrated their passion for our school. Regardless of who is elected to the roles, I am confident that our Class of 2026 will lead our students in a variety of meaningful ways, and do something beautiful for God.
Year One/Two Swimming Lessons
Congratulations to our Year One and Two students (and staff!) who have nearly completed their swimming lessons. Our students have happily learnt a range of new water safety skills. A big thank you to our dedicated staff who have ensure the children are ready for their lessons each day, and even jumped into the pool to assist! Thanks Mums, Dads and caregivers who have made sure swimming bags are packed each day too!
P&F Support
Our P&F are wrapping up the year with some exciting community fundraising activities! Next Tuesday, don’t miss the popular Second-Hand Uniform Sale before school. The Christmas Raffle is well underway, and Graduation Bears are available for our Year Six students. Visit the P&F page to find out how you can get involved and support our school!
Congratulations!
Congratulations to Mrs Rheannon Bellman on her selection as one of 10 young Catholics to represent Catholic Education Western Australia at the Australian Catholic Youth Festival in Melbourne. Rheannon’s Year 4 Koalas class, and the entire St Helena’s community, are excited to welcome her back and hear all about her pilgrimage when she returns!
Annual Community Meeting
A reminder that all parents/caregivers are invited to attend our Annual Community Meeting on 27 November 2025 at 6:00pm in the school library. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Have a lovely week!
