Big Question – How Do We Prepare for Change?

This week, we continue exploring our Big Question: “How do we prepare for change?”

Change can sometimes make us feel uncertain because we get comfortable with things being familiar. Just like starting a new game or learning a new skill, it can feel strange or even a little scary at first. But change helps us grow and discover new possibilities.

As part of this, our transition process for 2026 continues this week, giving students time to talk, prepare, and feel supported as they get ready for new environments, teachers, and classmates. Together, we’re learning that while change can be challenging, it’s also exciting — it helps us build confidence, resilience, and new friendships.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

Next week, several of our students will take an important step in their faith journey as they celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation at St Kilian’s Parish.

Six students from St Peter’s will join with students from St Kilian’s Primary School on Wednesday, 12th November at 6:30pm to make this special Sacrament. We pray for them and their families as they prepare for this significant moment.

Reconciliation is a powerful reminder of God’s love and forgiveness. It gives us the chance to reflect on our actions, say sorry, and strengthen our relationship with God and others. Through this Sacrament, we are reminded that every day is a new opportunity to make positive choices and show kindness, compassion, and respect.

Building Update

Our Stage 2 building works are well underway! Over the past week, the demolition crew has made great progress in preparing the existing Year 3/4 classrooms for their transformation. It’s exciting to see this next phase of growth taking shape across our school grounds.

Prep Transition 2026

Last week, we welcomed our 2026 Prep students and their families for the first of four transition sessions. Prayer for the Week

This week, we give thanks for All Saints Day and All Souls Day, celebrated over the weekend. We remember and honour all the saints who inspire us through their faith and goodness, and we pray for all souls who have gone before us, especially those we love and miss.

Loving God,

We thank You for the saints who show us how to live with faith, courage, and kindness.  We pray for all souls who have passed from this life — may they rest in Your peace and love.

Bless our families and friends, and help us to follow the example of those who lived with joy and compassion.

May we always remember that Your love connects us all, on earth and in heaven.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

God Bless,
