Nurturing the Heart of the Home: The Fruit of the Spirit
At school this week, our staff has been reflecting on the "Fruit of the Spirit" from Galatians 5:22-23: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. While we strive to model these in the classroom, we know that the "soil" where these traits truly take root is at home. Parenting is one of life’s greatest joys, but it also tests our patience and self-control like nothing else! Whether it’s the rush of the morning routine or the tiredness of the evening wind-down, we invite you to lean into these qualities this week.
Perhaps it’s choosing a gentle word when a child is frustrated, or seeking peace in the middle of a busy schedule. When we see our children as uniquely created and speak words that bring out their best, we create a home where they feel safe to grow. We aren't aiming for perfection, but for an "overflow" of love that our children can see and feel. We are so grateful to partner with you in nurturing not just the minds, but the hearts of your children.
