Welcome Back to All

Thank you to all our families for the wonderful way you have presented your children in their full uniforms.

I have been in all classrooms often and it is lovely to see the calm environments with children ready to learn.  Thank you to our teachers who have prepared for the return of the students so thoroughly.

Family Conversations

Each year we commence our year with our 'Family Conversations'.  These are not learning interviews, but rather an opportunity for families to meet your child's teacher and to share with us information about your child that may affect their learning or that is relelvant to our relationship building with your child.  Mrs Murphy has provided topics further in this newsletter to support these meetings and help you shape your conversations with your teacher.

These meetings will take place on Tuesday 10th ,Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th of February after school from 3.30pm to 5.15pm.

Opening School Mass

This is a very special event in our school calendar.  Our Year 6 students are inducted as Leaders in our school and we ask God to bless our year ahead.

Fr James is in India at the moment, however Fr Gleeson, a retired Priest from Glen Innes, will be our Priest for this Mass.  Year 6 parents will have received their invitation to attend this Mass. We ask our Year 6 students to wear their formal uniforms for this occasion.

Swimming Carnival

We are very excited about our Carnival tomorrow. Please read carefully the information Mr Flower has provided for you all.  It is always a great day and one that all children can be involved in.  Mr Flower and Mrs Murphy have done a wonderful job planning this event for our school.

Two New Demountables

Through the holidays two new work spaces were delivered to our school,  one will be our Library and Makerspace. 

We are very grateful to the Armidale Catholic Schools Office (ACS) who have funded the transfer of these building to our school.  It will be wonderful to have a library up and running again.  ACS will be connecting internet and installing a TV screen within the next two weeks.
