Assessment & Reporting Update – Term 4
As we conclude Term 4, we would like to update our parents, carers, students, and the wider Western Port Secondary College community on the assessment and reporting processes for the end of the year.
Semester 2 Reports
Semester 2 reports have now been released and provide a clear summary of each student’s learning progress throughout the second half of the year. These reports include:
Victorian Curriculum Achievement Standards
Semester results
VCE and VM Unit and AOS results for Year 11 students
Class attendance
Achievement and Work Practices (Community, Achievement, Respect and Engagement)
All reporting criteria can be viewed in the reporting matrix included with each student’s report. Families are encouraged to review the report together, celebrate successes and identify areas for growth as we move into 2026.
If you have questions or wish to discuss any aspect of the report, please contact the relevant Student Achievement Leader.
JumpStart Reports
JumpStart Reports have also been released. While our JumpStart program has run successfully in previous years, 2025 marks the first time that JumpStart Reports have been introduced.
These reports provide a brief snapshot of how students engaged with their 2026 classes during the JumpStart period. They include:
Achievement and Work Practices (Community, Achievement, Respect and Engagement)
Class attendance during JumpStart
This new reporting tool gives students and families early insight into learning habits established for the year ahead and supports a smooth transition into 2026.
Looking Ahead
We are proud of the effort and commitment demonstrated by our students throughout 2025 and during the JumpStart period. Semester 2 Reports and JumpStart Reports work together to support continuity in learning and ensure students feel prepared, confident, and supported as they enter the new school year.
Thank you to our parents, carers, students, and community for your ongoing partnership. We look forward to another successful year at Western Port Secondary College in 2026!
