The John XXIII Rowing Club will hold a Parent Information Night on Monday 16 February at 7:00pm in the Gonzaga Barry Lecture Theatre.
This session will cover key topics including uniforms for training and regattas; regatta details such as sign-up procedures, time commitments, and what’s involved when John XXIII College hosts a regatta; training schedules and attendance expectations; nutrition; and the role of the John XXIII Rowing Committee.
Parent WhatsApp groups
Each squad (gender/year group) has a parent’s WhatsApp group. Please contact Claire or a parent in your year group to organise being added to this group.
South West Head of the River
28 March 2026
The South West Head of the River is in the calendar! This fun regatta is held at the Bunbury Rowing Club, Cobblestone Drive, Bunbury, on Saturday, 28 March.
Rowers stay with their families and generally travel down on Friday and stay overnight in Bunbury. There are many accommodation options in Bunbury; most families stay at The Lighthouse or the Lord Forrest. If you haven’t made your accommodation arrangements yet, I suggest you do so soon. Families from other schools also stay in Bunbury overnight.
Please look out for the South West Head of the River registration form in the newsletter in the coming weeks.
