An Evening with ACOS - Thursday 28 August

We have a number of students who are working hard, preparing for An Evening with ACOS. This event brings together every public, high and central school from Uralla, Rocky River and Armidale for a night of creative arts.  The event will be held at Armidale Secondary College on Thursday 28 August from 6pm.  There are limited tickets available and can be purchased using the information below:

Our school is involved in school productions (Year 2 and a high school music group) along with students involved with the ACOS choir and orchestra.

Canteen Ordering System Upgrade - Upgrade

Our school P&C have kindly offered to pay for the re-introduction of the Flexischools canteen ordering app for families to order their children's lunches online.  This saves students needing to go to the canteen each morning and it also allows parents to pay for lunches and recess items online. Orders for each day must be submitted by 9am of that day so we have time to prepare them as most of our offerings are cooked on-site and made fresh each day.  Information was sent home on Tuesday about the new system and how to set it up.  Thanks again to our Uralla Central School P&C!

National Consistent Collection of Data of School  Students with a Disability (NCCD)

The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) is a yearly count of students by all Australian schools across the country. The aim of the NCCD is to provide the Australian Government with information about the number of students with a disability in Australian schools and the type of adjustments they need in order to access and participate in education on the same basis as other students.

Our school is currently completing this process. Please click the link for further information:

School Badges for Sale

We have school badges for sale at the office for $8.00 each. These can be purchased at the office for any student who wishes to purchase one.

HSC Trial Exam Changes

Each year our school plans our HSC assessment schedules using as much knowledge as possible about events planned throughout the year. We always factor in times to allow our students the best possible opportunities to complete their assessment tasks and exams.

Due to unforeseen date changes and clashes with major sporting events, we have to move our HSC 2025 Trial Exam dates to an earlier time.

The trial exams were scheduled for Week 7 of this term, but this has now been changed to the following dates in Week 6:

Tuesday 26 August

Wednesday 27 August

Thursday 28 August

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but please know we have made the decision to move the exams as there are a number of students who will be impacted by major sporting events in Week 7.

Please contact us at the school if you have any questions regarding these changes.

Public Education Week 2025

Public Education Week will be held next week from Monday to Friday across all public, high and central schools in NSW.  This is a time where we celebrate the outstanding opportunities our schools provide students across the entire state.

Our school will be hosting the Armidale Principals Network Public Education Awards Presentation on Thursday 7 August from 10am. Each school will be presenting awards to a student, staff member and parent or member of the school community.

Our students will also be involved in some extra events next week including:

Tuesday 5 August - K-6 Trivia Quiz

Wednesday 6 August - Secondary Trivia Quiz

Thursday 7 August 12.30pm - Whole School Assembly (We welcome all parents and carers to join us for our assembly)

Kindergarten Orientation Program

Our Kindergarten Orientation Program commenced today for students enrolling in Kindergarten in 2026. We had 15 very keen and eager students join us for their first taste of Big School.  Parents attended a workshop in the library where we discussed lots of information about our great school and provided tips to support children as they begin school for the first time.

Thank you to Mrs Endacott and Mrs Koina for providing an enriching day for our new students.

If you would like to involve your child in our Kindergarten Orientation Program, please contact us at the school.  Our dates are as follows:

Uralla Intermediate High School 1962-1972 Class Reunion

A reunion of students who attended Uralla Intermediate High School (Uralla Central School's previous name) from 1962-1972 will be held over the October long weekend. The group is seeking help in locating students who attended during this time.
