Principal News

Last Friday the PFA put on another fantastic disco for our students. The hall looked amazing. The lighting was spectacular, the Christmas decorations were abundant, and the tunes were bangin’!!

Thank you to the working party of parents who came in to transform the hall into the magical space that it was. We are so grateful to have the level of support of families every time we hold events.

As I have said many times, we can’t run the wonderful events that we do without your help, and we appreciate it very much. This year the PFA have put on 3 major events including the Walkathon, the Movie Night and the Disco.

Thank you for giving our students and families these opportunities to come together and celebrate together. The students love it and appreciate your efforts. They also love having parents involved on the day.  (Please refer to our Facebook page a video of the set up)

It has been a long term but a highly successful one with lots of fun and engaging learning. A highlight for everyone was our Maths Day when families were able to join us for Maths activities and games as well as our parade. Next term includes Book Week and another Parade! Time to start thinking about which book character to be on the day. I have got mine planned already and am counting down the days.

Thank you to all the parents and students who shared positive feedback with teachers at the PST conferences about how successful the multi age classrooms are working this year. It was great to hear parents sharing that they initially had concerns but that the classes are working so well for their children for many reasons and they are very satisfied. It was equally great to hear students sharing that their friendship groups have expanded. As  staff we are enjoying seeing how calm and engaged the classrooms are and the exciting learning that is taking place.

It is hard to believe that we have completed an 11-week term already. There has been a lot packed into it, and I am sure you are all ready for a break from uniform washing and preparing lunches. Over the holiday break you may notice some works taking place. Our two accessibility  ramps will be receiving a refurbishment over the break and will be looking new for the commencement of term three.

I wish you a lovely two weeks with your families and look forward to seeing our students back on Tuesday July 22nd, remembering Monday 21st is a Curriculum Day.
