Brainstorm Productions

On Tuesday the 19th of August all students attended Brainstorms Production of 'The Flipside'
This performance highlighted the importance of personal responsibility, empathy, respect and resilience in the online world.
When bullying is used to wield power, Jack and Ella realise they must create an ethical roadmap to navigate the online world. When people post words, images and videos, how will they be received? What will be the consequences? And who will speak up?
The Flipside sparks conversations about what is humorous, toxic, private, humiliating, informative, safe or appropriate online. The performance encourages students to think critically about their online values and behaviour and provides strategies for empathy, resilience, help-seeking and positive bystander behaviour.

" I learned about how to stop cyber bullying and how it feels to get bullied in person/online. It was also very fun and interesting to watch"
" I really liked the acting and expressions throughout the show. I also liked the sounds and music used, and the enthusiasm in their voices when answering questions at the end".
