Year 1 - Exploring the Past Excursion

On Monday, 11th August, the Year 1 students and teachers went on a wonderful excursion to Bundoora Park Farm.
Students enjoyed learning what it was like in an early 1900 rural school, had fun watching a printing demonstration using an early 20th century printing press, and also journeyed into the wildlife reserve to visit the emus and kangaroos and learn about Aboriginal history and culture. They explored the ‘Stud Groom’s Cottage’ and completed some household chores.

James- "My favourite part of the excursion was when I had to wear the dunce hat."
Reyansh- "My favourite part of the excursion was seeing the kangaroos and emu."
Aurora- "My favourite part of the excursion was writing with the ink pen and well."
Hailey - "I loved learning about the olden day school because we used ink to write".
Adeline - "My favourite part was the school because in the olden days, ladies went before gentleman".
Jeffery - "I loved the olden day school".
Boya - "I loved seeing the emus, it was cool".
