Principal's Report

Dear BEPS Community,

Last Friday's Athletics Day was a celebration of energy, teamwork, and community spirit. A big thank you to all the parents and staff who came out to support. It was your encouragement that made it possible for every student to enjoy a full day of sporting fun.

A big congratulations to Green House, who took home the championship trophy for the first time since 2019! The excitement at the assembly when this was announced was electric!

Across all year levels, students have been busy digging into our Inquiry topic:

"I am an Archaeologist."

With the help of some enriching excursions, students have been unearthing the past through hands-on activities and exciting ways. Thank you to our parents who are supporting our school for bringing this learning to life!

Get those goggles ready!

Our school swimming program begins next Monday, giving all students the chance to build and improve vital water safety and awareness skills. Please ensure students come prepared with swimwear, towels, and a change of clothes.

Our 2025 school production is already shaping up to be something special!

The cast is working tirelessly with Rochelle to develop characters and stage presence, and all cohorts are rehearsing songs ahead of the big day on October 14th.

Tickets will be available soon. Watch out for the announcement on COMPASS.

We kindly ask parents to support our school uniform policy by maintaining consistency. Free dress is permitted only on a student’s birthday. Let’s build our school pride by wearing our school uniform. Thank you for your support!

One of the highlights of the week is hearing about student successes outside of school. Whether it’s a trophy, medal, or a certificate from a hobby or sport, students continue to bring in their awards and proudly share their passions. It’s a joy to celebrate student achievements across the school.

Our leadership team has completed the mid-cycle monitoring of our 2025 Annual Implementation Plan (AIP). This has been a valuable opportunity to reflect on our progress and refine our priorities. While our focus areas remain consistent, the ongoing review ensures we’re staying on track to meet our goals and better support our students.

Students in Years 4–6 have completed the Victorian Attitudes to School Survey (AToSS). Their thoughtful responses have already been unpacked with staff and will directly influence upcoming wellbeing programs and school planning. A huge thank you to our students for sharing their voices with such honesty and care.

This week, we also welcomed the Kendall Early Education students to our school. They enjoyed story time in the Library with Katie, our Wellbeing Leading Teacher, visited the turtles and chickens, shared a snack, and explored the Foundation playground. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our local kindergarten and strengthen the ties between our schools and community.

As always, thank you to our incredible school community for your support, involvement, and enthusiasm. Whether it's on the sidelines, in the classroom, or behind the scenes, you are a vital part of everything we do.

Yours in Partnership,

Darren
