News from Foundation 

WOW! The Foundation students have been absolutely amazing these past two weeks, with Mrs B and Miss Cooper away. A BIG thank you to Erin Mullen for all her amazing work and for teaching the Foundation students. Another big thank you to Tahlia and Mrs Young, who has been doing a fantastic job supporting in the classroom the past two weeks and continuing the next.

Maths

WOW! The Foundations have turned into Mathematicians when Mrs B was away! They have been absolutely acing their Addition and Subtraction unit! This week we played a game called Shake and Spill with Double Sided Counters. 

How to play:

1. Put the counters into a cup and shake them around
2. Pour them out and group the colours
3. Count and write how many of each colour
4. Add them together

The Hidden Sentence

For our sentence writing this week, we tried something new called the Hidden Sentence. The Foundations wrote the sentence on their boards and then covered the sentence with paper. They had to try and remember the sentence without peeking. They could only peek a few times. They did an amazing job!

100 Days of School

On Tuesday, we are celebrating our 100 Days of School! Don't forget to come dressed as a 100-year-old!!!
