Curiosity ELC

The Language of Construction!
This term the Orange Team are exploring the language of construction. Our declaration of intent is for children to explore the language of construction in ways that are relevant and meaningful to them in their play explorations.
We have also been exploring the world in which we live, celebrating the rich diversity that exists within our centre!
Helping kids reach every S-milestone this Dental Health Week
Dental Health Week (4-10 August) is a great time to talk to your child about how daily habits like brushing, flossing, and visiting the dentist help little teeth grow up strong and healthy. Good oral health habits start young, even before a baby’s first tooth appears. From teething to losing their baby teeth, every child has important oral health S-milestones. With your support, they can reach each one with confidence. Make oral care fun at home with songs, stories, and role-play, and help your child become an oral health superhero by joining Max Molar and the Plaque Patrollers on their mission to fight tooth decay and build strong, healthy smiles for life. SA Dental offers a range of free tools and resources to help you and your child build strong, healthy smiles for life. To learn more and access resources, visit Dental Health Week.
Book Week
A reminder to be talking with your child about a book character they might like to dress up as on Monday 18th August, if they come to Curiosity on a Monday. Please don’t feel compelled to buy a costume, op shops are a great place to source something, or use a costume your child already has, or make a hat or mask.
