Reading:
This term, our classrooms are immersed in a range of exciting novels. The Grade 3/4A class are exploring 'The Iron Man' by Ted Hughes, diving into its themes of friendship, bravery and imagination. The Grade 4/5A class are reading 'The Wild Robot' by Peter Brown, a captivating story that sparks discussion around survival, empathy and technology. The Grade 5/6A class are studying 'Tom Appleby: Convict Boy' by Jackie French, a powerful novel that links to Australian history and encourages deep thinking about justice and resilience.

Writing:
Across all year levels, students are currently focusing on Information Reports. They are learning how to structure their writing with clear introductions, factual paragraphs and descriptive vocabulary. Students are enjoying the opportunity to research and write about topics that interest them, while building important skills in organising and presenting information. The Grade 4/5A class are also developing their skills of Recount Writing and having lots of fun with all the writing tasks that they are completing.
Mathematics:
In Mathematics, the Grade 3/4A and Grade 4/5A classes are working hard on the topic of Multiplication. Students are developing their fluency and applying strategies to solve a variety of multiplication problems. The Grade 5/6A class have recently completed their Maths Talent Quest (MTQ) Project and are now learning about angles, including identifying, measuring and classifying different types of angles.
