Principal's Update

I hope you all enjoyed some family time and some down time over the holdiays.

A lot has been happening here, over the holidays alot of work commmenced at WMPS:

Firstly the bathoroom upgrades began in Module A and B and teh accessible bathroom in the office.

We are so excited about our new bathrooms which will really add to the positive culture we are creating here. Be sure to check out our excellent NAPLAN results below also.

Landscaping: 

Our area outside the canteen was really in  need of a make over. The olive tress were struggling and the area just looked uniniviting.

Thansk to support from PINEWOOD COMMUNITY BANK, THE WHEELERS HILL LIONS CLUB and our fundraising efforts we have created a really lovely space.

Sports area:

Our courts are being well used before school, during recess and lunch, in class time and after school.

Thanks once again for PROCOURT for their work preparing and laying the new surface and PINEWOOD COMMUNITY BANK for donating the goal post pads to keep our students safe and the fantastic soccer goals.

Farewell Ms Della

We are sad to see you go Leyla! You have been such an integral part of our Waverley Meadows journey. Your care and connection with each student is to be greatly admired. We have had a lot of fun with you on camp, grade 2 sleepover, excursions, in classes and when you were slimed at the Colour Fun Run, not to mention the 50th birthday disco fun!

We love your positivity! Please don't be a stranger - you are always welcome here.

NAPLAN 2025:

Our results were excellent in both year 3 and year 5 - congratulations to all our staff who work hard teaching our students and of course congratulations to  students for doing so well.

Some of the highlights include: 

In grade 3 and 5 the % of students excelling and strong is above "like schools" and the "Network". We have increased in exceeding and strong - which is a great result for our school! 

As you can see they are very pleasing results.

I can't quite believe we are already heading into week 4 of Term 3 - and what a busy term it is - Mandy and all our students are working very hard preparing for our whole school production. "What a Knight"!
