Foundation News- 100 Days of School!
Our Foundation students returned to school this term, full of excitment as they counted down to our 100th day of school. On Wednesday 30th July, we celebrated this special milestone with a small ceremony and an amazing party. It was wonderful to see our parent community joining us for this special occasion, as Mrs Mauger and Mrs O'Donnell presented our Foundation students with a certificate and their own medal. Students enjoyed dressing up as 100 year old people and brought a plate of food to share with their friends. We would like to say a huge thank you to the school community for coming and celebrating our special day with us. It was an amazing day and everyone had a terrific time!

5/6 News - Fun at Urban Camp
In the last week of Term 2, one hundred Year 5/6s headed into the city of Melbourne to participate in 'Urban Camp'. We all met at the Pakenham Station and caught the train into the city with students being responsible for their own luggage. For many students, this was their first trip on a train and for some, it was their first trip into Melbourne. When we arrived in Melbourne, the Urban camp staff met us at Southern Cross and took our luggage off to camp whilst we started our tour of the city. Over the first two days, students visited the M.C.G., Cook's Cottage, The Shrine of Remembrance, the Old Melbourne Gaol and the Melbourne Aquarium. Several groups explored places like Melbourne Central, the State Library, Federation Square, Birrarung Marr, the Botanic and Fitzroy Gardens, Hardware Lane, rode trams and trains and even bought slurpees at 7-Eleven. During the evenings, we visited the Melbourne Zoo and visited Kingpin at Crown to go ten-pin bowling, play Laser Tag and play in the arcade. On the final day of camp, we visited the Melbourne Zoo and enjoyed seeing all of the animals by day. We had a fabulous time exploring our capital city and students represented P.H.P.S. respectfully. Thank you to all of our fabulous staff who gave up their own time with their families to attend camp and make this an amazing experience for the students.
