In Music this term, we have been learning about how music is created. First, we learned about the beat by adding the concept of grouping beats with a 4-count metre/time signature. Next, we learned about the traditional musical terms used to communicate dynamics. Students explored three techniques that performers use to create dynamics in music and discussed how the use of dynamics affects the audience. Last week, we extended our knowledge of pitch by exploring the range and pitch registers of instruments. We looked at how pitch register is created and ways to determine the pitch register of an instrument.
