Hockey

Our school hockey teams have had an incredible journey that began all the way back in Term 1, demonstrating skill, determination, and outstanding sportsmanship at every stage – all while living our school values of Respect, Inclusivity, Safety, and Kindness.

Both our Girls’ and Boys’ teams started strong at the Warrnambool District Hockey Day, taking out first place in their respective competitions. They then carried this success into the Warrnambool Division Day, once again finishing as champions and earning the right to represent our school at the Greater Western Regional Championships in Hamilton.

At the regional finals, the standard of play was extremely high:

 • The Girls’ team showed exceptional skill and teamwork, securing second place in the Greater Western Region – an incredible effort against very strong opposition!

 • The Boys’ team displayed determination and resilience throughout the day, taking on four highly competitive teams and finishing an impressive third place, going extremely close to second.

Both teams played with sportsmanship, respect, and persistence, and we are so proud of the way they represented our school.

                                         We would like to give some special thank-yous:

 • Mr Doak, for generously giving up his time to travel with the teams and provide support throughout the regional finals. Your help ensured the day ran smoothly and the students felt confident and supported.

 • Zoe, for coaching and supporting the students on each of the days. Your enthusiasm and willingness to help were invaluable, and we appreciate your help.

 • Kate, who went above and beyond by volunteering her time to help train the students in the lead-up and coach on the day. Your outstanding hockey knowledge and willingness to share your expertise played a huge role in the students’ success.

We are so grateful to all of you for your time, energy, and support in making this experience possible for our students.

A huge thanks to all of our parents who came and supported the students at each event.
