What's on in 1/2SM?

It's been a busy term in 1/2SM! This week we are celebrating Book Week. On Monday we started the week with a parade and came dressed as our favourite characters. It was great to see everyone go to so much effort with their costumes! We had a great day. This week, and for the rest of the term, we will read shortlisted books and see if we can find out about other great characters. Check us out all dressed up below:

Jason: I am dressed as Pikachu because I like Pokemon.

Alan: I am dressed as a police officer because I want to be one when I grow up.

Alex: I am Spiderman because he is my favourite character.

Chris: I am dressed as Luigi because Maxton and I like cartoons and he came as Mario.

Angeline: I am Tinkerbell because I like fairies.

George: I am dressed as Harry Potter because I watched the movies.

Daniel: I am dressed as Luigi because I watched the movie.

Ethan: I am Ash because I like him and Pikachu.

Maxton: I dressed up as Mario because he does tricks.

Hunter: My outfit is a priest because I want to be one when I grow up.

Iziah: I am Black Panther. He’s my favourite character. We have something in common  because I’m black too.

Nadia: I am Gerald from Giraffes Can’t Dance because it’s a good book.

Emma: I am a butterfly because you might see one on an adventure.

Mila: I am Stitch from Lilo and Stitch because he’s so cute.

Ava: I am Rumi from K-Pop Demon Hunters because it’s a good movie.

Hayden: I am Charizard because I like Pokemon.

Lucas: I am Darth Vader because I love the movie.

Nora: I am the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland because I like the book.

Miles: I am Steve from the Minecraft movie. I like Steve because he fights zombies off. 

Lexi: I am Billie B Brown by Sally Rippon because they are my favourite books. I also like Hey Jack by the same author.

Levin: I am Mr Wolf from The Bad Guys because he is funny.

 

Earlier this term we celebrated the feast day of St John Vianney. We had fun doing Kaboom! activities, but most importantly, we learnt more about the saint our school is named after. Here are some photos of a pop art portrait we made of St John Vianney. We think they look pretty cool!
